I initially developed my academic writing skills as a student at the University of Brighton, U.K. As part of my degree qualification, I had to complete a dissertation, and numerous other essays, and written assessments. I loved the whole process from the initial research, reading, writing, the continual tweaking, to the final submission.
After graduating from university, I worked for the Metropolitan Police Service in London, as a criminal intelligence analyst.
Along the way, I discovered that I could write really well across a range of subjects, and for different target audiences. I became aware that whilst I love the challenges that writing tasks present, for others, writing can be difficult and stressful.
I established Writing Skills Tutoring in 2018 to help students, parents and others with writing-related problems.
I have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Exercise Science (University of Brighton, U.K.), a Graduate Certificate in Fraud and Financial Crime, and a Master of Terrorism and Security Studies with Distinction (Charles Sturt University, Australia).
